The Hennum Boys
Bonnie reached out to me when she decided she wanted modern portraits of her preschool age boys, Sebastian (4) and Preston (3). I photographed them in my home studio and love how their personalities shined through! Kids are my love language.
Libby's Bat Mitzvah
No more than 2 weeks after moving into our new house in Texas we heard a knock at our front door. I was greeted by a sweet and miled-mannered red-headed 12-year-old that handed me a “Care Bear Cares Babysitting Service” flyer and said, “Hi, I’m Libby, and I love to babysit.” As if the red hair weren’t enough, it was love at first sight. Libby quickly became a neighbor that’s felt more like family and I’ve cherished our conversations at the bar when she swings by after school to say hello and see “The Babies” (my 3 littles). Libby and her entire family have been such a gift to us here in TX. On October 12, Libby became a Bat Mitzvah, and it was so special for me to witness her hard work and commitment, and to photograph her big day.
The Clarks
Holly and I met at a park, pushing our babes in the swings and quickly connected over a million things — both had 3 kids in 3.5 years, both Chase and I, and her husband, worked in the same Goldman Sachs office, both members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, both GIGANTIC West Wing fans (or was that date two when we bonded over that?….), etc. etc.. Needless to say, we became fast friends.
I was thrilled when Holly expressed interest in doing her family photos this year in a natural light studio. I’d been dying to shoot at The Lumen Room Fort Worth, and was so happy how the shoot turned out. It’s a great **air conditioned** option for the TX heat in a controlled environment. I also love all the variety you can get in one location (props, chairs, movable backdrop walls, etc.).
Holly is from England, so it was extra special to have her parents in town from across the pond, and I’m so happy they jumped at the opportunity to include them in the shoot as well.
After the shoot Holly text me, “Photography is your calling!” And besides making my day, it also made me reflect truly on how much I love what I do. Memories are fleeting, but the photos are our time capsule. I feel blessed to allow people to hold on to these precious moments with the people we love most, for a lifetime.

Sweet Baby Lane
It was such a joy and honor to meet The Binghams and photograph their new baby boy, Lane. It is always my goal to make a session feel relaxed and fun and get to know families as new friends. I especially loved meeting 18 month old big-sis, Claire, and consider it my challenge to win the little people over :). We moved from master, to foyer, to front, to nursery, capturing all the special places that are Lane’s new home; and most importantly, capturing the essence of those who love him most.
